Cinnamon Date Shake

With the combination of warming spices and sweet tastes, this shake will nourish and balance vata any time of the year. Enjoy as a wonderful way to begin your day or as a midday treat. The mix of ingredients supports the adrenals and your energy levels.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 9 raw almonds, soaked and peeled (or 1 tablespoon almond butter)
  • 2–3 Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg


Tip:
 For a dairy-free option, use rice milk for a light, wholesome quality; oat milk for a sweet and cooling nature; or almond milk to energize.

Directions:

  1.  In a small saucepan, warm the milk over low heat.
  2. Transfer to a blender and add the almonds, dates, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Blend until it is as creamy as possible.
  4.  Serve in a glass and enjoy warm.
