Basics I is offered online in a series of ten weekly one-hour classes. It is scheduled ”on demand“ when we have a group of 9 to 11 students who have contacted us to indicate that they are interested in beginning the program.
We strive to align this platform as closely as possible with traditional teaching, so each class is limited to seven students. This allows us to actively encourage, engage, interact with, and question each student during the session.
This lively exchange ensures that the experience is not passive and transactional, but rather it actively cultivates thinking and is therefore a transformational experience. Students are also expected to do homework to promote engagement with the material.
Basics I serves as a prerequisite for the rest of the series, though exemptions may be granted in some cases. This class aims to create a group mind and shared understanding of key terms that get further cultivated through Basics II-IV.
Upon completion, students join ongoing Digestion and Content classes geared to their level. These classes are also limited to nine students.
Tutoring is also available for additional support.
