Post-Panchakarma Guide & Suggested Ayurveda Supplies
- Feeling good is often attributed to consuming lighter food options aka veggies! Foods that are heavy include meat and eggs, with a suggestion to think about the animals they come from (e.g., cows, pigs, birds). Nuts are dense and challenging to digest. Be mindful of the intake of cheese and fried foods with oil.
- Worship your Agni, your digestive fire, to cultivate a new relationship with your digestive system. Honor and pay attention to your hunger levels. Recognize that proper digestion is associated with energy, mental acuity, and a light feeling. Your digestive fire can guide you in transitioning back into real life😊 For digestive support, consider fresh ginger tea to stoke the fire and brisk walks for 10 minutes before meals, not after.
- Hold space for yourself if you stopped alcohol, recreational drugs, and/or tobacco – all heat-producing and inflammatory by nature. Consider CCF tea as a digestive and cooling drink for your medicine cabinet. Reintroduce restricted items slowly, paying attention to their effects. Acknowledge your current state of cleanliness and be cautious with refined sugar as it can be harsh on the body. Be mindful of substances that cause fluctuations in the body and mind and strive for a state of ease and equilibrium.
- Continue the practice of drinking warm water.
- Regarding movement, use this opportunity to ease back into activity. Take time to gradually return to your normal levels of movement.
- Reflect on anything you connected with during this process, such as incorporating Abhyanga on Sundays or experiencing the benefits of Nasya. Consider keeping up with practices like scraping your tongue, choosing one or two to integrate into your daily life.
